Functional Medicine is a systems biology based approach that aims to treat the root cause of dis-ease. Functional Medicine practitioners view the body as an integrated whole rather than siloed systems of organs. It is highly personalized, meaning there is no “one size fits all” approach. Interventions can look like optimizing nutrition, sleep, body movement, stress reduction, selective nutritional supplementation and even medication. Said another way, each person has their own unique orchestra, and I see it as my job to help you discover the instrumentation and tune your orchestra. 

To better serve you and provide truly optimized and individualized care, we have chosen to remain out of network. Opus One will provide a superbill to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. 

The reimbursement you get depends on your insurance provider. To get a sense of how your insurance provider may reimburse you for our services, ask them for a quote on out of network reimbursement coverage for each of the following:

• Intake visit: 99205 or 98003 + modifier 95 + POS10

• Follow up: 99215 or 98007

Please keep in mind your contract is between you and your insurance provider, and Opus One cannot be held responsible for your insurance company’s reimbursement practices. 

No. It is important that you maintain a relationship with a primary care provider. We cannot provide emergency care, annual exams, screening tests or other primary or emergency care services. What we provide is the opportunity to take a deep dive into your health in a way that most primary care offices do not have the space or support to do. 

We provide telehealth service. We use a HIPPA compliant, secure video system, so you can have your appointments in the comfort of your own home. For this type of medicine, it has been shown to be both convenient and effective.

How you participate in office hours are completely up to you. They are a great place for general questions (such as working through dietary changes, sleep strategies, etc.). In these settings, it is advised to only share personal information you are comfortable with others hearing. You are welcome to attend off camera or change your display name. Additionally, you can submit a question ahead of time anonymously and view the recording.
